It is good for children’s oral and general health throughout childhood and adulthood that they acquire healthy dental habits from a young age.

When should I bring my child to their first dental check-up?

We recommend taking children to the dentist as soon as their baby teeth appear. Bringing your child to our Bexleyheath based Dental Practice from a young age is a simple method to assist them to become acquainted with the environment and all of its sights, sounds, and scents.

What regular treatments will my child receive?

As part of our dedication to long-term oral health, we are committed to getting our “little VIPs” off to a good start. Early dental care visits minimize the likelihood of a child acquiring anxiety about basic dental procedures such as fissure sealants and topical fluoride application.

In addition to teaching children to care for their teeth from a young age, frequent dental visits help them learn the significance of keeping their teeth clean and create regular oral hygiene practices. During your appointment, we will also provide advice on food and lifestyle to help minimize the chance of cavities and decay.

We provide a warm, inviting environment for our patients, particularly youngsters. Our whole team of oral health professionals are kind, patient, and our treatment rooms are relaxing and welcoming, with the goal of putting even the most apprehensive patients at rest.

Fluoride Varnish

The fluoride varnish is applied to caries-prone teeth (tooth decay-prone). Fluoride varnish is administered topically to places that are difficult to brush. The Department of Health suggests using fluoride varnish 2-4 times per year. The varnish is sweet and delicious to taste, which is why youngsters enjoy it so much!

Fissure Sealants

Pits and fissures can be found on the biting surfaces of molar teeth. Bacteria that cause deterioration can develop in these microscopic cracks and gaps. Fissure sealants fill in these microscopic gaps and are helpful in preserving children’s permanent teeth if they are predisposed to decay on those teeth.
