1) Keep sugar frequency low
Keep sugar frequency low, Try to keep sugar intake as minimal as possible; if you want to eat sugary products, it is advised to eat them at meal times! Snacking through out the day causes decay.
2) Ideally drink water day to day,
If you are going to drink juice or fizzy drinks try to buy sugar free products (always check the label for hidden sugars).
3) Make changes in your diet
Swap chocolate for cheese, biscuits to breadsticks, dried fruit to fresh fruit, and crisps to crackers. Not only does eating the right foods help your teeth, it encourages a healthy lifestyle and a more advanced immune system.
4) Tooth decay is caused by sugar and bacteria.
Good oral hygiene and a good diet work together to keep you teeth and oral cavity healthy!
5) Visit your dentist regularly.
We practice preventative dentistry here in Bexleyheath and recommend regular visits to the dentist
